How to Play CycleShooter

Controls and Movement

• Forward Motion: Pedal your smart trainer/bike, or tap space bar/touch screen power buttons if no trainer connected
• Steering: Use the left and right arrow buttons on your touchscreen, or L/R arrow keys on keyboard
• Speed: Your in-game speed is directly proportional to your power output (watts)
• Shooting: Generate extra watts to target and fire your weapon

Connect Your Smart Trainer to CycleShooter

Our game requires a browser that supports Web Bluetooth API. Compatible browsers include:

• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Edge
• Opera

Note: Firefox and Safari as well as iOS/iPadOS devices do not support the required Bluetooth features.

1. Launch the game in a compatible browser
2. Locate the 'Connect Smart Trainer' button in the top left corner of the game screen
3. Click the button to initiate the Bluetooth connection
4. Follow any additional prompts to complete the pairing process

If you see an error message stating "navigator.bluetooth is undefined," you are likely using an unsupported browser. Please switch to one of the compatible browsers listed above.

Power-Ups

• Unlock flight capability by collecting sufficient points
• Maintain power output above 200 watts to activate and sustain flight
• This feature is inspired by real pedal-powered aircraft like the MIT Daedalus
• Collect batteries for 50W extra power for 60 seconds
